Terms of Use

Please read these Terms carefully. Countdown is a convenience tool for personal events and reminders. Important dates should be checked independently; a widget or notification must not be the only way you track a critical deadline.

These Terms govern Countdown Widget Timer ("Countdown" or the "App"), provided by APP BOX EOOD, UIC 207060361, Lazur District, Block 109, Apartment 5, 8000 Burgas, Bulgaria ("APP BOX", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using Countdown, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable Apple terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Countdown lets you create event countdowns, configure reminders and recurrence, use Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, share selected event data with the companion Apple Watch experience, choose event backgrounds, and optionally add events to your system calendar. Some features require internet access, Apple services, device permissions, or a supported operating-system version.

2. Licence and Apple terms

The App is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use Countdown on Apple-branded devices you own or control as allowed by the App Store Usage Rules. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies and is incorporated into these Terms. Where mandatory law or applicable Apple terms conflict with these Terms, the mandatory rule controls.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You retain rights in event information and photos you add. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to use that content. You are responsible for its accuracy and lawfulness, for maintaining access to your device and backups, and for checking important dates independently.

Countdown is not an emergency, medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical reminder service. Notifications, widgets, Apple Watch sync, calendars, device settings, batteries, connectivity, and operating-system scheduling can fail or be delayed. Do not rely on Countdown as the sole means of meeting an important deadline or avoiding loss.

4. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation or security, use it unlawfully, infringe another person's rights, introduce malicious code, circumvent purchase or access controls, resell or redistribute the App, or reverse engineer or create derivative works except to the extent such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

5. Premium features and purchases

Countdown may offer one-time premium purchases. Older products may include renewable subscriptions that remain recognized for existing purchasers. The App Store shows the product, included features, localized price, billing period, and applicable terms before purchase. Apple processes payments, renewals, cancellations, refunds, taxes, and Family Sharing eligibility under your Apple Account and Apple's rules.

You can restore eligible purchases from the App. Deleting Countdown does not cancel an active subscription. Manage subscriptions in your Apple Account settings and request refunds through Apple, subject to applicable consumer law and App Store rules.

6. Advertising and third-party services

Non-premium versions may display advertising. Countdown may use Apple services, Google Mobile Ads, Google User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. Third-party services are subject to their own availability, terms, and privacy practices. An integration or link does not make APP BOX responsible for a third-party service. 7. Updates and availability

We may maintain, update, add, change, suspend, or discontinue App features, free content, and supported devices. We do not guarantee that every feature, widget family, integration, or third-party service will always be available or error-free. You are responsible for installing compatible updates and for any device, connectivity, or carrier costs.

8. Intellectual property and feedback

Countdown, its software, visual design, trademarks, and APP BOX-provided text, graphics, and assets are owned by or licensed to APP BOX and protected by applicable intellectual-property law. If you voluntarily send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve the App without identifying you or creating a payment obligation.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Countdown is provided "as is" and "as available" without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, APP BOX is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the App, including missed events, lost data, or unavailable widgets or notifications.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, remedies, warranties, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory rights available to consumers in the EU/EEA and United Kingdom.

10. Termination

You may stop using and delete Countdown at any time; subscription cancellation is separate. Your licence may end if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—remain effective.

11. Governing law and disputes

Bulgarian law governs these Terms, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or jurisdiction rights available in their country of residence. Consumers may bring claims in any court available under mandatory consumer law. Before starting a formal dispute, you may contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms for legal, security, provider, or functional changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice in the App or App Store listing when required. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
